Background
The contract, titled 618-18-108 Prevent Legionella Phase 3, is issued by the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The primary project objective is to prevent Legionella disease by replacing and updating plumbing equipment at specific risers throughout the Minneapolis campus.

Work Details
The services to be rendered consist of preparing the project site for operations, including demolition and removal of existing site elements, and furnishing labor and materials to perform construction work for Prevent Legionella Phase 3 as required by drawings and specifications. The project includes new mixing valves, shower modifications, and sink modifications. The contract is intended to be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type for a period of 365 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The contractor must comply with the most current Davis-Bacon Act Wage Determination MN20230117 dated 01/06/2023. Commencement of services under this contract is within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed. The COR will inspect all completed services, and final acceptance will be performed by the COR. Upon completion of contract performance and annually if performance is longer than 365 days, the government will evaluate contractor performance for use in future contract award decisions.
