Pre-Solicitation Notice Project No. 528A8-16-807 Repair Parking Lot Stratton VA Medical Center THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS TO INFORM YOU THAT THE STRATTON VA MEDICAL CENTER, LOCATED AT 113 HOLLAND AVE, ALBANY, NY 12208 WILL BE POSTING A SOLICITATION ON OR ABOUT AUGUST 12, 2022 FOR THE REPAIR PARKING LOT PROJECT. Brief Project Description The 528A8-16-807 Repair Parking Lots project is for the repair/modification of the existing employee parking lot at the Stratton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Albany, New York. The employee parking lot is approximately 5.6 acres and is divided into two sections with a total capacity of approximately 800 vehicles. Access is through three gated points with one other access point that is generally used for maintenance activities. The primary reason for the project is that there is a low spot in the parking area that is subject to persistent flooding, which has resulted in damaged vehicles. The flooding has been exacerbated by an ineffective drainage system within the parking lot as well as the City of Albany s combined sewer, which bisects the parking lot making it undersized and unable to remove rainwater during high intensity event. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 237990. The small business standard is $39.5 Million. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the solicitation.
