The Bath VAMC is located at 76 Veterans Avenue, Bath, NY 14810. The layout is a campus with more than 30 buildings located on over 200 acres. Normal working hours are Monday Friday7:00am 4:30pm. The current parking lot is deteriorating and in need of repair/replacement along with an expansion. This parking lot is also in need of a stormwater drainage system, to aid in diverting stormwater away from the 1st floor and basement of B-30. The Scope of this project includes but is not limited to repave and restripe existing asphalt parking lot, construct new stormwater drainage system, new lighting, curbs, and sidewalks as well as repair existing retaining walls and stairs along the West side of B-30 per the design drawings. The scope of this work will also include preparing a temporary parking solution coordinated with the VA.

Background
The Bath Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is located at 76 Veterans Avenue, Bath, NY 14810, encompassing a campus with over 30 buildings across more than 200 acres. The facility's mission includes providing healthcare services to veterans.

The current project aims to address the deteriorating condition of Parking Lot 16, which requires repair and expansion, as well as the installation of a stormwater drainage system to prevent flooding in the first floor and basement of Building B-30.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Demolition:
a. Milling existing asphalt in Parking Lot 16 and removing concrete sidewalks as per contract drawings. Disposal of demolition debris must occur at an approved offsite location.
b. Removal of existing stairs between B-30 and retaining walls.
c. Removal of existing trees, including root systems that interfere with new installations.

2. Site Work:
a. Repaving and restriping Parking Lot 16 as specified in contract drawings.
b. Installation of full depth asphalt parking where indicated in the contract drawings.
c. Installation of new concrete curbs, bollards, retaining walls, stairs, and sidewalks per contract specifications.
d. Construction of a new stormwater drainage system according to contract drawings.
e. Installation of new lighting, including electrical connections for any new lights installed.
f. Locating all underground utilities and covering costs for any utility strikes or damages incurred during construction.
g. Providing clean fill, topsoil, and seeding for newly created lawn areas as per contract drawings.
h. Implementing and maintaining erosion and sediment control measures required by the contract.
i. Installing ADA tactile warning surfaces where specified in the contract drawings.
j. Providing signage and implementing a maintenance and protection traffic plan as specified in the contract drawings.
k. Coordinating with VA Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to phase construction to allow normal operations at the Medical Center unless otherwise authorized.
l. Staging and storing materials in designated areas as directed by COR.
m. Utilizing Autodesk Construction Cloud Build Platform (ACC) for project documentation including submittals and RFIs; Bath VAMC will provide necessary training at no cost.
