Background
The West Texas Veterans Health Care System (WTVAHCS) is seeking to replace the existing fire alarm system in Building 25 at their facility located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX. The current system does not communicate with the main building, posing a safety risk. The goal of this contract is to correct this issue by installing a new Siemens fire alarm system that will be integrated with the main building for monitoring purposes.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary for the installation of the new fire alarm system in Building 25. This includes:
- Replacing the existing Honeywell system with a new Siemens system as per the provided drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with the latest Uniform Building Code (UBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, Uniform Federal Accessibility Standard (UFAS), VA Standards, and local facility requirements.
- Coordinating construction activities to minimize disruption to Building 25 staff and maintaining acceptable emergency egress.
- Providing detailed submittals and manufacturer literature as required by the contract.
- Completing a set of As-Built record drawings upon project completion, including layout of the newly installed fire alarm system and connection points to the main facility.
- Ensuring all contractor personnel are qualified and comply with OSHA standards.
