Background
This solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the purpose of remodeling the amphitheater located at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center in Temple, Texas. The project aims to enhance the facility's functionality while ensuring minimal disruption to its operations, as it serves a high volume of patients and operates 24/7. This contract is set aside for 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the remodeling of the amphitheater as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key tasks include:

- Reconfiguring electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems;
- Coordinating with existing utilities;
- Ensuring compliance with VA specifications and applicable regulations;
- Performing demolition and renovation with minimal disruption;
- Managing debris recycling;
- Maintaining cleanliness;
- Preventing false alarms during construction;
- Providing fire watch services when necessary.

The work will be phased and may require after-hours operations due to the facility's continuous patient care activities.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within 180 calendar days.
