Background
Design-build contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Texas Veterans HCS for the renovation and upgrade of Building 257 at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
Building 257 is an existing three-story administrative building. The procurement is a presolicitation notice issued January 3, 2022 under solicitation number 36C25722R0026 with the goal of modernizing administrative spaces, building systems, and finishes.

Work Details
Provide all equipment, tools, labor, supervision and materials to design and construct remodeling of the existing three-story administrative building. Design build for the renovation and upgrade of building 257 at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 36C25722R0026 The Contractor will provide all equipment, tools, labor, supervision and materials necessary to design and construct the remodel the existing three-story administrative building as required by drawings and specifications. The work includes complete remodel of all bathrooms on all floors, and selective replacement of flooring and ceiling / light fixtures on all floors, installing new HVAC system with ductless system and exhaust units on basement and second floor only, replacement of some HVAC equipment on first floor, adding of new electrical panels to support new HVAC system, replacement of all electrical panels, and transfer switches, complete replacement of fire alarm system and other remodel work as delineated on drawings. The work also includes interior design work of painting of walls/ doors/ door frames and adding special finishes and lighting on accent walls on each floor. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 M. The magnitude of this project is. Important Notice: Apparent successful offerors must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises prior to submission of offer. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz prior to submission of offer will result in the offeror s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
