Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a Sources Sought Notice for the rehabilitation of the Tuolumne Meadows water distribution system located in Yosemite National Park. This system currently provides an average of 34,000 gallons of potable water daily, with a maximum capacity of 73,000 gallons for visitor use areas and NPS buildings.

The purpose of this notice is to gather information on interested businesses and their qualifications to develop an acquisition strategy for a competitive acquisition anticipated in Summer 2025.

Work Details
The project involves several key construction tasks:
1) Replacement of 37,940 linear feet of outdated water lines (including cast iron, PVC, and HDPE materials), covering distribution mains and laterals to all buildings and facilities with sizes likely between 1-8 inches.
2) Replacement of a 100,000-gallon above-ground water tank with a new 200,000-gallon tank, positioned adjacent to the existing tank to maintain operational continuity.
3) Replacement of 14 fire hydrants.
4) Installation of approximately 57 new water meters and replacement of 3 existing meters.

The construction must adhere to protective measures due to subsurface historic properties and intact archaeological deposits in the area, requiring monitoring during trenching activities.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is approximately 1,068 calendar days, including potential weather-related shutdowns.

The construction will take place at Yosemite National Park, specifically in the Tuolumne Meadows area.
