Background
The National Park Service (NPS) – Denver Service Center (DSC) Contracting Office, Denver, Colorado, intends to sole source a conventional packaged water treatment process with multiple trains including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection for the Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant located in Yellowstone National Park. After extensive engineering evaluation and studies, the products manufactured by Filter Tech Systems were determined to be the only suitable products for use at the water treatment facility. As a result, the NPS-DSC intends to solicit for the replacement of the water treatment plant utilizing a brand name on a sole source basis to Filter Tech Systems.

Work Details
The work involves the rehabilitation and improvement of the Old Faithful Water Treatment System in Yellowstone National Park. The project requires a conventional packaged water treatment process with multiple trains including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. The manufactured conventional packaged water treatment process must be compatible with existing systems and be placed within specific configurations depicted on the attached construction drawings. Items to consider for determining suitability of other manufacturers include structural, electrical, HVAC plumbing, process equipment, instrumentation and controls.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant located in Yellowstone National Park.
