Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the Department of Interior (DOI), is issuing a solicitation for the rehabilitation and improvement of the Old Faithful Water Treatment System. This project aims to address the aging infrastructure of the existing water treatment plant, which was built in the early 1980s and is critical for providing potable water for domestic services and fire protection within Yellowstone National Park.

The current system faces challenges with arsenic removal and has received an administrative order from the EPA for corrective actions due to its inability to consistently meet safety standards.

Work Details
The project includes comprehensive construction tasks such as:
- Constructing a new MCU water treatment plant building with various specialized rooms (laboratory, control room, etc.)
- Installing interior and exterior piping and supports
- Providing instrumentation and analyzers
- Implementing a Process Control System (PCS)
- Furnishing laboratory equipment
- Constructing water treatment systems including filtration tanks
- Rehabilitating existing waste ponds.

Specific tasks also involve demolishing outdated structures, constructing new septic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating utility services. Additionally, a soil nail wall will be designed along the Pre-Sedimentation Pond to enhance structural integrity.
