Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the stabilization of Mint Spring Bayou and the terraces and graves at Vicksburg National Military Park located in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The goal of this contract is to ensure the preservation and stabilization of these historical sites, which are significant to the heritage and history of the area. This acquisition is being conducted under the Small Business program, emphasizing support for small businesses in fulfilling government contracts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a range of construction tasks including:

1. Stabilizing Mint Spring Bayou to prevent erosion and preserve the natural landscape.
2. Stabilizing terraces and graves within the park to maintain their structural integrity and historical significance.
3. The work will involve various trades such as earthwork, landscaping, and possibly structural repairs depending on the condition of existing features.
4. Compliance with environmental regulations and preservation standards as outlined in sections B through J of the solicitation documents.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving award and complete it within 548 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
