Background
The United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Denver Service Center has issued a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for market research purposes. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The NPS anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for the requirement and will use information obtained through this notice to develop an acquisition strategy. No proposal package, solicitation, specification, or drawings are available with this notice.

Work Details
The project is located at North and South Manitou Islands, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. The construction magnitude is more than $10,000,000. Due to the size and complexity of the project, all interested Offerors shall demonstrate bonding capacity of $30M.

The surrounding area is rural with limited staging areas and the construction site is only accessible by boat and 12-16 miles from nearest suppliers and lodging facilities. The Park will remain open during construction, thus contract activities and logistics must be structured and scheduled to minimize visitor impact and ensure visitor and staff safety. The site requires protective measures to ensure the surrounding area remains undisturbed. The construction will require consideration for historic, natural, and cultural resources.

The anticipated period of performance is 490 calendar days including any potential weather shutdowns with seasonal/other shutdowns mandated through the construction season.
