Replace Headquarters Office at the Bon Secour NWR   3

Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is seeking a contractor to replace the headquarters office at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, located at 12295 State Hwy 180, Gulf Shores, Alabama 36542. The goal of this contract is to construct a new office/maintenance facility in compliance with all applicable codes and specifications, ensuring that the facility meets the operational needs of the refuge.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supplies, equipment, benchmark elevations, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the work as per the statement of work, drawings, specifications, and current codes. Key tasks include:

- Obtaining all necessary permits;
- Following provided drawings and specifications;
- Demolishing the existing headquarters after the new facility is ready for occupancy;
- Installing overhead utilities as per updated site conditions;
- Providing and installing a new cabinet while maintaining required clearances;
- Installing fiber optic connections to a new rack/cabinet location;
- Running Cat6A cables and conduits from building utilities to the rack/cabinet location;
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes including International Building Code and ADA guidelines;
- Maintaining daily logs and checklists of activities;
- Providing a safety plan aligned with applicable standards; and
- Ensuring that all submittals are accurate and comply with project specifications.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will span several months following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
