Nv Ash Meadows NWR Cry Springs Restore

Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the design and construction services related to the restoration of the Crystal Springs area within the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge (NWR).

The goal of this contract is to remediate and restore critical habitats by decommissioning existing infrastructure, constructing new waterway channels, and improving visitor access. This project aligns with the agency's mission to conserve fish, wildlife, and plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

Work Details
The contractor will provide design/build services for a variety of tasks including:
1. Planning, design, remediation, construction, decommissioning, breaching, and removal of Crystal Springs Dam, Horseshoe Dam, and Lower Crystal Springs Dam.
2. Decommissioning and removal of Crystal Springs Reservoir, Horseshoe Reservoir, and Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir.
3. Removal of existing irrigation infrastructure and site restoration.
4. Reconstruction of new spring outflow channels.
5. Construction of visitor access improvements including trails and parking lots.
6. All associated appurtenances necessary for the completion of these tasks.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from April 1, 2025 to September 12, 2028.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at various locations within the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.
