Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Denver Service Center (DSC), is soliciting proposals on a full and open basis from all interested businesses having the capability to perform the work described. The project aims to establish a base of operations for firefighting efforts, including a storage and operations command facility (Fire Cache), housing for firefighting personnel (Dorm), and the water, wastewater, and power utilities necessary to support these facilities. The project is located in North Cascades National Park, Stehekin, WA.

Work Details
The construction project includes three main parts: water, wastewater, and power utilities; fire cache; and fire dormitory. The utilities scope of work involves extending power distribution lines to the firefighting facilities, providing a new water storage tank, rehabilitating an existing groundwater well, installing new water distribution for both fire suppression and domestic use, and installing a new septic system.

The fire cache scope of work includes constructing a new Fire Station-Cache-Operations building approximately 3,019 square foot in size. The fire dormitory scope of work includes constructing a new dormitory approximately 3,705 square foot in size and co-located with the Fire Cache. The dormitory will house 8 to 16 personnel in eight bedrooms, with the ability to house up to 20 personnel on a short-term basis.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for the contract is Fall 2022 – Summer 2024.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at North Cascades National Park, Stehekin, WA.
