NGWSP Block 4a & 4b   4

Background
The Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP) is issuing a solicitation for the construction of Block 4a and 4b, which involves the construction of water supply facilities. The project aims to provide water supply to specific locations in New Mexico, including the Proposed San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant and Proposed San Juan Lateral Pumping Plants.

Work Details
The construction tasks include but are not limited to buried manholes, road crossings, utility crossings, erosion control, corrosion protection, and various other activities related to pipeline construction and appurtenances. The work involves two reaches: Reach 4A, which consists of a 7-mile pipeline and appurtenances extending south from Proposed San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant, and Reach 4B, which involves a 10.9-mile pipeline and appurtenances extending south from Proposed San Juan Lateral Pumping Plant No. 2.

- Mobilization and preparatory work
- Contract document management system
- Government field office
- Utility crossing investigation
- As-built and final drawings for all reaches
- Operations and maintenance manuals for all reaches
- Buried cathodic protection and corrosion monitoring systems
- Water for dust abatement
- Dust palliative
- Unwatering system
- Dewatering system
- Clearing and grubbing
- Topsoil stripping
- Stockpiling and placement
- Mobilization of trench box
- Rock excavation
- Use of trench box
- Gravel surfacing
- Coir wattles
- Seeding
- Bored road crossing
- Line pipe installation for both reaches (4A and 4B)
- Horizontal directional drilling (HDD)
- Filling and testing pipe
- Temporary bypass pipeline installation
- Repair kits provision for various assemblies such as sectionalizing valve assemblies, air valve assemblies with or without manhole assemblies etc.
- Buried manhole assemblies provision along with sampling station assemblies and wash crossings.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from February 1st, 2023 to August 30th, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in specific locations in New Mexico including the Proposed San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant off N-36 and Proposed San Juan Lateral Pumping Plants.
