Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Denver Service Center (DSC), is soliciting proposals on a competitive Tribal Owned/Alaskan Native basis from all interested businesses having the capability to perform the work described below. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the SAM.gov website at www.sam.gov. The Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument (LIBI) is located in central Montana and tells an important story that is best illustrated by the mission of the Park: To preserve and protect the historic and natural resources pertaining to the Battle of the Little Bighorn and to provide visitors with a greater understanding of those events which lead up to the battle, the encounter itself, and the various effects the encounter had on the two cultures involved.

Work Details
The project involves replacing the dilapidated visitor center facility at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. The current visitor center has several deficiencies including inadequate space for visitors, safety and building code issues, pest infestations, water intrusion, outdated alarm systems, lack of fire suppression system, non-compliance with accessibility standards, and HVAC system issues. The project is anticipated to be a negotiated firm-fixed price contract requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. The estimated price range for this project is more than $10,000,000 with an estimated period of performance from January 2024 to April 2025. A virtual pre-proposal meeting on Microsoft Teams will occur on October 10, 2023.
