LAKE 318673 EXTEND PUBLIC LAUNCH RAMP AT CALVILLE BAY; LAKE 324894 EXTEND PUBLIC LAUNCH RAMP AT ECHO BAY; LAKE 332529 EXTEND PUBLIC LAUNCH RAMP AT HEMENWAY HARBOR, LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, BOULDER CITY, NEVADA
Background
The United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Denver Service Center, has issued a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for the purpose of conducting market research. The notice is for a potential of three separate contracts to extend public launch ramps at Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Boulder City, Nevada. The purpose of the notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The NPS anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement and will use information obtained through this notice to develop an acquisition strategy.

Work Details
The project involves extending public launch ramps at three locations - Calville Bay, Echo Bay, and Hemenway Harbor. Each location has specific construction details including the construction magnitude, surrounding area description, site logistics, protective measures, anticipated period of performance, seasonal shutdowns, and project scope.

The work includes construction of gravel roadways, launch ramps, parking areas, helipads, mobile toilets, solar lights, buried power systems, water systems, sewer systems, marina fueling stations, parking lots, maintenance yards and in-water construction of launch ramps using precast concrete panels.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for each contract is 730 calendar days including any potential weather shutdowns. There are seasonal/other shutdowns mandated through the construction season.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Boulder City, Nevada.
