GLAC 318705 Replace Utility Systems - Construction Package 1 - St. Mary Water S   3

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), through its Denver Service Center (DSC), is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services related to the replacement and rehabilitation of utility systems at Glacier National Park, Montana. The goal of this contract is to improve water supply and wastewater management systems in the St. Mary and Two Medicine areas, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and enhancing service capacity.

Work Details
The construction tasks under this contract include:

1. Rehabilitation of the Two Medicine Water System, which involves improvements to one of two water supply wells, replacement of the well control and water treatment building and equipment, installation of a new transmission main from the tank to the distribution system, and replacement of the existing water distribution system and appurtenances. This also includes permitting work related to addressing outstanding design data calculations for MDEQ approval for the new Well #3.

2. Rehabilitation of the St. Mary Water System, which includes improvements to one existing well, replacement of a second well, replacement of the water distribution system in the Hudson Bay area, relocation of the well control and water treatment building and equipment, and removal of an existing water storage tank above the St. Mary Campground.

3. Construction of a Winter Septic System in St. Mary that entails replacing the existing septic tank and drainfield system with an expanded system designed to better treat effluent and accommodate potential future residences, including multiple septic tanks, a dose tank, and a pressure dosed drainfield.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is 610 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
