Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), part of the United States Department of the Interior, has a construction requirement to replace the Imperial Sand Dunes Cahuilla Ranger Station located at 4500 Gecko Rd., Brawley, CA 92227.

The goal of this contract is to design and construct a new facility that meets various operational needs for government employees working at the site.

Work Details
The contract entails the design and construction of an approximately 10,000-12,500 square foot single-story Cahuilla Ranger Station replacement building(s), with a maximum limit of 12,500 square feet.

Key tasks include:
- Demolition, removal, recycling, and salvaging of construction waste from existing and temporary structures;
- Providing administrative office and visitor reception space;
- Law enforcement space;
- Emergency medical services space;
- Storage space for various vehicles.

Site development will involve installation of back-up generators, solar power generation systems, connection to an existing well, installation of a leech field, secure fencing, soil stabilization, and asphalt parking. Additionally, there are two optional items: replacing living quarters for government personnel which includes sleeping rooms, kitchen facilities, bathrooms/showers, and a common living area that must comply with local codes as well as federal codes and standards.

Decorative landscaping featuring native drought-resistant plants and rocks/boulders that fit aesthetically with the local landscape is also included. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete this requirement.
