D-B Gaoa Cahuilla Ranger Station Replacement   3

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is issuing this solicitation for the Design-Build services for the replacement of the Cahuilla Ranger Station located in Imperial County, California. The project aims to provide a modern facility that meets current operational needs and sustainability standards, enhancing the BLM's mission to manage public lands for multiple uses while ensuring their health and productivity.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of design and construction for the Cahuilla Ranger Station Replacement. This includes:
1. Design and construction of administrative facilities and service buildings as per the provided specifications.
2. Compliance with BLM Codes and Standards, including sustainability implementation as outlined in Attachment 9.
3. Adherence to safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Management of site preparation, including geotechnical considerations as detailed in Attachment 3 (CRS Geotechnical Report).
5. Incorporation of findings from environmental assessments, including asbestos and lead-based paint inspections (Attachments 10 and 11).
6. Development of a project schedule that includes all phases from design through completion within the stipulated performance period of 906 calendar days after notice to proceed.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work within 7 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and is required to complete all work within 906 calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Cahuilla Ranger Station site located in Imperial County, California.
