Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is conducting market research through this Sources Sought Notice for the construction of a new water treatment plant and maintenance building at Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma.

The goal of this contract is to replace an outdated water treatment facility that currently fails to meet the area's potable water needs, which have increased over time. The NPS aims to gather information on interested businesses to develop an acquisition strategy and determine potential small business set-asides.

Work Details
The project involves the following construction tasks:
1. Replacement of the existing water treatment plant (WTP) built in the 1970s, which currently cannot reliably provide treated water. The new WTP will need to produce 43,000 gallons per day (gpd) compared to the existing capacity of 25,000 gpd.
2. Removal and disposal of existing WTP equipment while retaining the current building for park maintenance storage.
3. Construction of a new building northeast of the current WTP site, including replacing an old water storage tank with a new glass-coated bolted steel tank.
4. Tree removal and minor grading at the new building site.
5. Construction of a new maintenance building approximately 3,500 square feet in size, featuring high-bay steel frame construction with a concrete slab floor, limited windows for natural light, roll-up doors for vehicle access, and a concrete apron with a shade canopy. The interior will have light-painted walls for reflectivity and sanitary sewer lift stations will be installed to serve both new and existing buildings.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from March 2025 to November 2026, with possible seasonal or other mandated shutdowns during the construction season.
