Background
The National Park Service (NPS), through its Denver Service Center (DSC), is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Design Build Construction Services to replace the existing water treatment plant and construct a new maintenance building at Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, OK.

The current water treatment plant, built in the 1970s, has significant operational issues and cannot reliably provide treated water to the area. The goal of this contract is to enhance water service reliability and improve facility operations.

Work Details
The project involves:
1. Designing and constructing a new water treatment plant (WTP) to replace the existing facility that services the Buckhorn campground, boat ramp, and pavilion, with an increased capacity from 25,000 gallons per day to 43,000 gallons per day.
2. Addressing maintenance issues related to aging appurtenances and non-functional automatic controls.
3. Designing and constructing a new maintenance building of approximately 3,490 square feet to replace existing carpentry shop and storage buildings, which will include a fire cache and janitorial storage.

This facility will connect with the Roads and Trails building via a common area with restrooms and showers, ensuring accessibility. The design will focus on emergency response capabilities, supply distribution efficiency, staff comfort, deferred maintenance reduction, and low life cycle costs.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 810 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
