Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services to support the repair and raising of the seawall at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, FL. This project aims to enhance the structural integrity of the seawall, which is critical for protecting the monument and surrounding areas.

Work Details
The project involves reconstructing approximately 1,355 linear feet of seawall, including five segments: North Wall, North Transition Wall, Center Wall, South Wall, and South Transition Wall. Key tasks include:
- Demolition of four existing seawalls and construction of four new seawalls: three sheet pile walls with stacked granite facade and one sheet pile wall, all to a top elevation of 10.5 feet NAVD 88.
- Construction of a concrete return wall with granite facade along the northern property line.
- Rehabilitation of the Center Seawall with new capstones, tabby infill along the top, and repointing on both faces.
- Filling behind new seawalls on north and south lawns to maintain elevation differential.
- Demolition of an existing fee booth building and entrance plaza; construction of a new 320 square foot building and concrete entrance plaza.
- Reconstruction of timber walkway to meet ABAAS compliance.
- Construction of new ABAAS-compliant resin-bound aggregate walkways around the Fort.
- Replacement of lift station, force main, irrigation, and electrical lines along upland side of Center and South seawalls.
- Removal and replacement of trees for site improvements.
- Reinforced turf installation around the fort.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 550 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The construction projects will be performed at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida.
