Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the construction project titled 'CASA 324271, Repair and Raise Seawall at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument' located in St. Augustine, Florida.

The project aims to enhance the structural integrity of the seawall adjacent to this historic site, which is vital for preserving both the monument and the surrounding environment. This acquisition is being conducted via unrestricted full and open competition, with a magnitude of construction exceeding $10 million.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for reconstructing approximately 1,355 linear feet of seawall. The work includes raising each section of the seawall to match the elevation of the back of the center wall.

The reconstruction involves five distinct segments: North Wall, North Transition Wall, Center Wall, South Wall, and South Transition Wall. Additionally, improvements will be made to the fee station and entrance plaza. Optional work includes constructing pedestrian pathways around both the south and north sides of the fort with connections to Highway A1A.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within 550 calendar days following receipt of notice to proceed.
