SOLICITATION NOTICE:
The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Beach Access Upgrades project for Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (APIS) in Bayfield, WI.
Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for removal/demolition of existing staircase, deck, parking lot and vegetation. Install beach access upgrades to include parking area, pathway, staircase, retaining walls and various other site improvements. We anticipate that work will begin in May/June 2025.
SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6425B0007
PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000 and $750,000
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract
Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Bayfield County, WI will apply.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237990, and the size standard is $45 million.

Background
The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, is issuing this solicitation for the Beach Access Upgrades project at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (APIS) in Bayfield, WI.

The goal of the contract is to enhance beach access for visitors by upgrading existing facilities and infrastructure.

Work Details
The work will include:
1. Removal and demolition of existing staircase, deck, parking lot, and vegetation.
2. Installation of beach access upgrades which consist of a new parking area, pathway, staircase, retaining walls, and various other site improvements.

The project magnitude is estimated between $500,000 and $750,000. This contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract and is subject to Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Bayfield County, WI.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 365 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, specifically at Roy's Point Maintenance Facility located at 37705 Roy's Point Road, Bayfield WI 54814.
