Description

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to issue a Sole Source order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 to Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc.

The proposed contract is to procure the following: X-ray tube Replacement and Labor.

1. Part no. XR-LABOR RT; XR LABORER REGULAR TIME; Quantity: 1.

2. Part no. Travel; ZONE TRAVEL CHARGE; Quantity: 1.

3. Part no. A526046-01; COMPLETE X-RAY TUBE HEAD MONOBLOCK; Quantity: 1.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.

No written solicitation document is available. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this procurement.

Responses are due by July 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM. (PST) Pacifica Standard time.

Background
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to issue a Sole Source order to Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. for the procurement of an X-ray tube replacement and associated labor. This contract aims to restore essential medical diagnostic imaging capabilities aboard the USS Carl Vinson, as the primary X-ray tube head monoblock has failed, rendering the system inoperable.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, parts, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified technical labor to replace the COMPLETE XRAY TUBE HEAD MONOBLOCK on the Canon Medical SOLTUS100M-SID.000 system. The specific tasks include:

1. Providing the OEM part COMPLETE XRAY TUBE HEAD MONOBLOCK (Part Number: A526046-01) in a quantity of 1.

2. Providing labor and services which include:
a) Supplying a qualified and OEM-certified technician for the removal of the faulty component and installation of the new X-ray tube;
b) Performing all necessary system calibrations, tests, and verifications to ensure full functionality within OEM specifications;
c) Ensuring that the work area is left clean and free of debris upon completion.

Place of Performance
All work shall be performed on-site at the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70).

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must provide a qualified and OEM-certified technician for the installation and calibration tasks.
