Navy Chief Information Officer (CHINFO) PA

Background
The Navy Chief of Information (CHINFO) leads the Navy Public Affairs (PA) community and routinely conducts a specialized training symposium every 18 months to maintain alignment with changing Navy priorities. The training symposium contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of public affairs operations worldwide by establishing an in-person, collaborative learning environment to conduct training on technical and non-technical competencies. Senior Navy leaders speak with the group to increase the alignment of Navy communications and opportunities are provided to facilitate collaboration across Navy organizations.

Work Details
The PA Training Symposium is scheduled for 14-16 November 2023. The contractor shall provide a main ballroom that can accommodate a daily attendance of about 400 people, as well as meeting rooms, reception areas, and supplies and services as specified in this statement of work. The contractor shall also provide guestrooms at per diem rate for about 250 to 300 guests per night, with lodging paid for by each attendee. If the contractor cannot provide all the rooms directly, they will arrange free of charge overflow rooms at the prevailing per diem rate with hotels within walking distance. About 75 to 100 local attendees will not require nightly accommodations.
Meeting spaces should be proposed according to standard capacities. Meeting spaces & event-related services should include:
- Ballroom for plenary sessions with classroom seating for up to 400 people each day for all three days
- Up to two rooms for simultaneous breakout sessions that can accommodate classroom seating for 100 people
- One executive-level board room with seating for 6-12 personnel.

Period of Performance
The RFQ includes a base period of approximately June 2023 – November 2023. Services shall commence immediately upon contract award and shall be completed within 24 hours after close of the symposium.

Place of Performance
The primary location of performance is in contractor-provided spaces. The preferred location is San Diego, CA.
