Description

This is a draft solicitation for a procurement of an estimated quantity of fifty-five (55) Commander, Naval Installation Command (CNIC) Workboat Medium (WBM) over the next eight (8) years under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). Award will be made to a single Offeror who represents the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offer. The boats will be procured using a small business set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items under NAICS code 336612.

Background
This is a draft solicitation for a procurement of an estimated quantity of fifty-five (55) Commander, Naval Installation Command (CNIC) Workboat Medium (WBM) over the next eight (8) years under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). Award will be made to a single Offeror who represents the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offer. The boats will be procured using a small business set-aside in accordance with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.

Work Details
The Contractor shall construct the Workboat Medium Base Boat as defined in the Attachment 1 and Section C. The Workboat Medium Base Boat shall include the boat and ancillary equipage as defined within the contract and Attachment 1, as well as all configuration elements chosen at the Delivery Order Level off of Attachment 8 - Exhibit Line Item Number (ELIN) List. The resulting contract will be an eight-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for an estimated fifty-five (55) boats. The Contractor will be responsible for managing all activities (design, engineering, logistics, testing and production) under this contract for successful execution.

Period of Performance
The period of performance of the contract is eight years.
