Wood River Sewer Separation Project (Construction)   3

Background
The Wood River Sewer Separation Project is a construction project aimed at separating combined sewers, constructing a new stormwater collection system, and expanding existing stormwater detention and pumping facilities. The work includes the construction of storm sewers, detention basins, and related work, covering approximately 20,900 lineal feet of 12” to 72” storm sewer, 710 lineal feet of precast box sewer, 533 lineal feet of large diameter jack-and-bore, 240 stormwater structures, and 24,000 cubic yards of detention pond excavation. The project also involves coordination with the City of Wood River, Illinois.

Work Details
The construction tasks include the separation of combined sewers, construction of a new stormwater collection system, expansion of existing stormwater detention and pumping facilities. The work encompasses various activities such as water and sanitary adjustments, tree removal, demolition, concrete and asphalt paving, sidewalks, fencing, and seeding. The project is estimated to have a magnitude of construction between $10M and $20M. The period of performance for the base contract is estimated at 48 months. Additionally, there are optional bid items for Phase 3 and Phase 4 listed under Option 1 and Option 2 headings.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted within an area roughly bounded by Picker Avenue, Edwardsville Road, Wood River Avenue, Ferguson Avenue, and Old St. Louis Road in the City of Wood River, Illinois.
