Interested sources must be capable of furnishing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment required for new manufacture of the listed item(s), including component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping serviceable assets. Potential sources may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs associated with becoming an approved source. Qualification requires completing a Source Approval Request (SAR) package per the item’s Qualification Requirements (QRs). Government will not provide technical data; potential sources must independently acquire the necessary technical data to satisfy the requirement. SAR submission is electronic via DoD SAFE; if no PKI certificate is available, submit a standard email request to arrange a DoD SAFE drop-off for uploading SAR documents.
