Williams and Deep Creek Surfacing   2

Background
The USDA Forest Service is issuing this contract for the Williams and Deep Creek Surfacing project, located in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi County, Idaho. The mission of the Forest Service is to manage national forests and grasslands for multiple uses, including recreation, timber production, and wildlife habitat.

The goal of this contract is to improve road conditions by reconditioning and surfacing approximately 14 miles of Deep Creek Road and Williams Creek Road.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Base Bid:
a) Reconditioning 14 miles from MP 13.7 to MP 27.7 on Deep Creek Road (FSR 101) and Williams Creek Road (FSR 021).
b) Crushing, mixing, hauling, and placing surface course aggregate at a typical depth of 4 inches after compaction along the specified road segments.

2. Option Items:
a) Additional roadway reconditioning along project length based on executed option line items (3.7 to possibly 9.7 miles).
b) Supply and place surface course aggregate along project length according to executed option line items (3.7 to possibly 9.7 miles).

The contractor will be responsible for developing pits for operations, mining materials, crushing pit material into a blended surface course aggregate with commercial source additives meeting contract requirements, as well as performing necessary environmental protections and site reclamation activities.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from August 1, 2025, to October 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed along Williams Creek and Deep Creek Roads (FSR 021 and FSR 101) within the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Lemhi County, Idaho.
