Wild Horse Transportation from California to Texas and Tennessee   2

Background
The United States Forest Service Wild Horse Program has awarded transportation contracts since 2020 and anticipates a continued need for the foreseeable future.

This solicitation is issued by the Modoc National Forest to provide transportation for wild horses from Alturas, CA to Glen Rose, TX and Lebanon, TN.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for safely and humanely transporting a total of 113 wild horses:

- 36 horses (24 aged 3-10 years and 12 aged 1-2 years) from Double Devil Wild Horse Corrals in Alturas, CA to Glen Rose, TX, with a required arrival date of December 5, 2024;
- 77 horses (41 aged 3-10 years and 36 aged 7 months to 2 years) from the same location to Lebanon, TN, with a required arrival date of December 12, 2024.

The transportation must ensure that the horses arrive in the same configuration as they departed if possible. Loading and unloading facilities must be maintained in safe working condition with specific requirements for ramps, gates, trailers, and transport procedures outlined in the Statement of Work.

Transportation will occur from Double Devil Wild Horse Corrals in Alturas, CA to Glen Rose, TX and Lebanon, TN.
