Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior VA contract award 36C26022P0012 to Caldaia Controls (award value $141,446; 10/01/21–09/30/26) for “BOILER INSPECTIONS.” The current solicitation’s required annual Type A internal/external inspections and Type C external under steam pressure for three gas/oil-fired boilers, along with written reports and safety device checklist witnessing, aligns closely with the prior boiler inspection scope and suggests continuity of the same inspection program. Additionally, Caldaia Controls also held a closely related award 36C26021P1120 ($71,017; 09/17/21–08/31/26) for “BOILER SAFETY DEVICE TESTING,” which is consistent with the current requirement to witness/sign safety device testing during operational inspections.
