WFS PFO Buckboard Seeding 2026

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Pocatello Field Office, Idaho, is seeking to perform re-seeding treatment of 850 acres in the Buckboard Fire Rehab Area. This solicitation (140L0226Q0015) is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) set aside for small businesses. The goal of this contract is to restore the affected area through aerial seeding, utilizing a firm-fixed price contract structure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Perform broadcast seeding on approximately 850 acres located on public lands administered by BLM, specifically in Township 16S Range 35E Sections 16, 17, 20, and 21.
2. Utilize sufficient equipment to meet contract specifications and ensure proper seed distribution at a rate of approximately 8 pounds per acre using a mix of seeds provided by BLM.
3. Manage site access and loading operations from the Pocatello Field Office where government-furnished seed will be available.
4. Ensure that all operations are conducted with personnel present on-site before and during application, while also monitoring weather conditions that may affect operations.
5. Provide a crew capable of handling seed and loading equipment efficiently.
6. Maintain flexibility in scheduling due to potential weather impacts and initiate work within five days of notification from the BLM representative.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from October 1, 2026, to January 15, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Buckboard Fire Rehab Area located approximately 10 miles southwest of Malad City, Idaho.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
- Must provide their Unique Entity ID (UEI) and CAGE code with their quote.
- Must demonstrate technical capability in applying sagebrush seed at specified rates and provide relevant experience with GPS Differential Guidance Systems for seed application over featureless terrain.
