The following circumstance justifies limiting the source under FAR 8.405-6:
FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services requried at the level of quality required.
These apparatuses are a proprietary item not sold by other manufacturers. The items were tested by the National Soil Survey Center (NSSC) to determine its viability/suitability for completing aggregate stability analysis before purchasing. Eijkelkamp is the sole manufacturer of this item. Eijkelkamp offers their proprietary sieve apparatus through 1 vendor on GSA Advantage, Seva Technical Services. Seva is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
