Background
The solicitation is for the Western Oregon Road Construction IDIQ. The contract covers multiple projects for heavy and highway construction on various National Forests, including Mt Hood, Siuslaw, Willamette, Umpqua, Rogue River Siskiyou, and Fremont Winema, and the Columbia River Gorge NSA. The contract allows specific projects to be added via Individual Project Task Orders as they are developed.

Work Details
The major categories of work activities required by the contract include clearing, earthwork, structural embankments, drainage structures, pit/quarry development, road base and surfacing, road structure demolition, road structure construction (such as retaining walls and bridge work), and road obliteration (decommissioning). The contract incorporates Federal Highway Administration Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-14 or any future approved version) in U.S. customary measurement format.
The contract also incorporates additional standardized specifications that consistently apply to this type of construction.

These areas include Western Cascades, Coast Range, and Klamath Mountains. Range forest lands within Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Hood River, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Klamath,Lake,Lane,Lincoln,Linn Marion,Multnomah Polk,Tillamook,Wasco,Washingt,and Yamhill Counties.
