Western Mines Lidar Survey

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Alaska has a requirement for LiDAR Surveys of Western Mines, specifically targeting six areas of closed, excluded, and unconveyed federal lands in the Ruby Mining District. These areas consist of former mining claims that were not conveyed due to various encumbrances.

The goal of this contract is to fulfill inventory requirements for the Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) program and assist in the cleanup process, ultimately preparing these lands for potential conveyance to the State of Alaska.

Work Details
The contractor will conduct a LiDAR survey to generate a dataset comparable in detail to USGS Quality Level 1. This dataset will aid in identifying abandoned mine land features and cultural resource features across six specified sites. The work includes:
- Delivering a 0.5-meter bare-earth Digital Terrain Model for each area.
- Collecting LiDAR point cloud data with a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of less than 0.35 m.
- Providing detailed information on chosen technical methods, expected personnel, anticipated timeline, and types of equipment needed for project completion as part of the quote submission.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Ruby Mining District along the Ruby-Poorman Road in Alaska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered/certified small business concerns as this is a Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA). Additionally, bidders should demonstrate relevant experience in conducting LiDAR surveys and provide details on staffing credentials and any necessary licenses or certifications.
