Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Nevada State Office is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the repair of the furnace at the Wells Fire Station Operations Building in Wells, Nevada. The furnace has stopped functioning and requires immediate repair to ensure operational efficiency. The goal of this contract is to restore the furnace to working order while adhering to all applicable codes, including the 2021 International Existing Building Code.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Repairing the Nordyne M1MC 056A BW furnace, which includes replacing the flue as per manufacturer’s recommendations. The flue must be five inches in diameter and made of aluminized steel, with a total length of less than five feet.

2. If any damage occurs during repair activities, the contractor must repair the roof as needed.

3. Should additional services beyond flue replacement be necessary, the contractor must submit a quote for further repairs to the BLM's Representative.

4. Any parts that require replacement must comply with specifications outlined in the manufacturer’s literature.

Period of Performance
The work is anticipated to commence as soon as possible and shall be completed within 45 calendar days from the date of award.
