Description

This requirement was openly competed against W81XWH-21-S-CRRP and is awarded as a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract. The primary objective of this project is to conduct a traditional feasibility study (clinical trial) to investigate the impact of a new device and intervention to treat insomnia. The device is called the Teledyne PeakSleepTM which helps people fall asleep by gently stimulating the brain with slow electrical pulses, to encourage the brain to slow down and prepare itself for sleep. The second objective to be completed during the third-year option is to refine and ruggedize the device to better suit the needs of existing and future military partners. The proposed research directly addresses the FY21 CRRP Focus Area of Sleep Disorders and more specifically addresses the CRRP Area of Encouragement for research on the prevention and/or mitigation of insomnia .
