Wear/PMIS 351364/Electrical Serv 152A, B

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation to support the Western Arctic Parklands (WEAR) located in Kotzebue, Alaska. The goal of this contract is to install a dedicated electrical service panel and perform associated electrical work for Apartments 152 A & B, as well as optional work at the Northwest Alaska Heritage Center. This project aims to separate electrical services to improve billing accuracy and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Install a new dedicated electrical service for the boiler room serving Apartments 152 A and B, including a new service meter, service disconnect, and electrical panel.

2. Install feeders and conduit, rewiring all boiler room loads to the new service, which includes one boiler system, four electrical outlets, one overhead light fixture, and one heat trace circuit.

3. Remove obsolete wiring where feasible and ensure all circuits are properly labeled, balanced, and tested for safe operation.

4. Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions before beginning work.

5. Optional work at the Northwest Alaska Heritage Center may include HVAC system troubleshooting and repair, installation of a new electrical outlet, and inspection/modification of exterior electrical systems.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from August 5, 2026, to November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Kotzebue, Alaska; specifically at Apartments 152 A & B and the Northwest Alaska Heritage Center located at 171 3rd Avenue.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
- Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA).
- Must possess appropriate contractor licensing.
- Required to submit documentation demonstrating technical knowledge and prior experience with similar projects within the last five years.
- All vendors must be willing to submit to a background check.
