WBAMC Medical Physicist Consulting Services

Background
The Department of Health Physics at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), located in Fort Bliss, TX, is seeking medical health physicist consulting services. The goal of this contract is to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain radiation safety standards for various diagnostic and nuclear medicine imaging devices, as well as adherence to manufacturer performance specifications and TB MED 521 guidelines applicable to all medical radiographic systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for consulting services that include the following tasks:
- Maintain regulatory compliance for medical health physics.
- Ensure radiation safety standards are met.
- Oversee the safe operation of diagnostic and nuclear medicine imaging devices.
- Review and ensure compliance with manufacturer performance specifications.
- Conduct shielding integrity assessments for various imaging equipment including but not limited to:

- PET/CT Biograph
- ProMax 3D Mid (CBCT)
- ProMax 3D Plus (CBCT)
- Rad/Fluoro Luminos Agile
- Somatom CT
- SPECT Symbia Evo
- SPECT/CT Intevo Bold
- Stereotactic Affirm Prone
- Cabinet X-ray.
