Watervliet Arsenal (WVA) NY - Annual Tescan Clara SEM Maintenance

Background
The Army Contracting Command (ACC) - Watervliet Arsenal (WVA) is soliciting for the annual maintenance of the TESCAN CLARA Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) System located at Benet Laboratories. This contract aims to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of the SEM through periodic maintenance, support, and software updates.

The TESCAN CLARA SEM is a sophisticated scientific instrument capable of imaging samples at magnifications up to 1,000,000x and performing compositional analysis using electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). This procurement is classified as a Sole Source with TESCAN USA, Warrendale, PA, although all responsible proposals will be considered.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive maintenance services including:
1. Preventive maintenance (PM) per year;
2. Calibration to factory specifications;
3. OEM replacement parts as available;
4. Labor;
5. Materials;
6. Repairs;
7. Support; and
8. Necessary software updates for the following components: CLARA GMU, silencer box for rotary or scroll pump, control panel G4, Essence Integrated EDS (manually retractable detector), motorized retractable scintillator BSED (G3 and G4), scroll pump, and large turbomolecular pump.

The contractor is not required to provide consumable items such as FEG emitters but must supply necessary consumables. Response time for service calls must be acknowledged within 24 hours by phone with an on-site targeted response within 48 hours after notification of equipment issues. Telephone support from TESCAN will be available during business hours.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this maintenance contract is one base year with two option years.
