Water Quality Maintenance of LL-7000 Heat Exchanger-AMENDMENT 0003   3

Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) located in Crane, Indiana. The mission of this contract is to maintain the LL-7000 Pure Water Heat Exchanger, which supplies high purity, de-mineralized, and de-ionized cooling water to test equipment operating at high voltages in production laboratories.

The goal of the contract is to ensure the quality of water supplied by the LL-7000 system through routine maintenance and services, minimizing downtime and maintaining production schedules.

Work Details
The contractor will perform routine services and supply necessary materials for the maintenance of the LL-7000 Heat Exchanger. Key tasks include:
1. Strainer Inspection & Cleaning: Removal and cleaning of strainer screens using distilled water as per SOW 3.2.8.1 and 3.2.8.2.
2. Filter Cartridge Replacement: Replacement of various filter cartridges as specified in SOW 3.2.9 for different filter units (FF1, FF4, FF7).
3. Resin Replacement: Replacement of Purolite A310LC and UCW-9964 resins as outlined in SOW 3.2.10.
4. Air Filter Cartridge Replacement: Replacement of air filter cartridges according to SOW 3.2.9.
5. Maintenance must ensure that all components are restored to like-new condition, with any substitutions requiring prior approval from technical points of contact.

The maintenance work will be performed at Building 3168 within the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane, Indiana.
