Background
This solicitation is issued by the U.S. Army as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products, specifically for the procurement of water pumps. The goal of this contract is to acquire two new Darley water pump units to replace unserviceable units currently mounted on firefighting trucks. Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of two new Darley water pump units, part number 2BE-24K. Key specifications include:
- Engine: 24 horsepower, 3600 RPM liquid cooled diesel engine
- Electrical: 12-volt starter and 12-volt 40-amp alternator
- Control Panel: Programmable integrated engine control panel with start/shutoff switch, oil pressure display, engine temperature display, pump water pressure display, two adjustable throttles, and a water pump primer switch.
- Safety Features: Engine shutdown if low oil pressure or high coolant temperature is detected.
- Dimensions: 35” L x 23.3” W x 26.3” H (40” w/exhaust) and weight not exceeding 390 pounds.
- Ports: 3” NPT suction port and 2 ½” NPT discharge.
- Performance: Must achieve flow rates of 390 gpm @ 20 psi, 300 gpm @ 80 psi, and 200 gpm @ 115 psi.

Period of Performance
Preferred delivery time is within 30 days from the date of order.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to designated locations for firefighting operations.
