Water Loop Treatment and Supply RFI

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Facilities Management Branch, is responsible for maintaining and modernizing facilities across approximately 122 institutions nationwide.

This RFI aims to assess vendor capabilities and operational support related to water loop treatment services and associated chemical supply necessary for the maintenance of these facilities.

Work Details
The BOP seeks vendors capable of supplying boiler and chiller water loop treatment services and chemical supplies. Specific areas of interest include:
- Types of hot and cold water loop chemicals available for distribution, suitable for both hot water and steam boiler plants as well as chiller plants.
- Modes of delivery offered (e.g., bags, pallets, tri-axle loads, buckets).
- Frequency of normal service contracts and whether chemical additions are included in testing service contracts.
- Provision of weekly or monthly testing services accompanied by viewable samples to track efficiency over time.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide detailed company information including corporate structure, business address, UEI and CAGE code information, years in business, relevant experience with correctional facilities or similar environments, financial capacity for nationwide fulfillment, distribution capabilities, and whether they are a manufacturer or distributor of water treatment chemicals. Additionally, vendors should outline their ability to comply with regulatory requirements for interstate shipment and any limitations affecting nationwide fulfillment.
