The purpose of the USAID WASH Infrastructure Support Activity is to improve both access to basic water and sanitation services and the management of water resources. These investments are key prerequisites to achieving and sustaining Tanzania's long-term development goals, including enabling economic prosperity and social well-being. This activity is the continuation of a partnership with the GoT to expand and sustain the provision and governance of WASH services.

This amendment is to amend section F.6 Key Personnel of the referenced Request for Proposal. Any amendments to this solicitation are highlighted, and any additional amendments will be issued and posted on the https://sam.gov website. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check the site periodically for official updates and amendments to the solicitation.

Background
The purpose of the USAID WASH Infrastructure Support Activity is to improve both access to basic water and sanitation services and the management of water resources. These investments are key prerequisites to achieving and sustaining Tanzania’s long-term development goals, including enabling economic prosperity and social well-being. This activity is the continuation of a partnership with the GoT to expand and sustain the provision and governance of WASH services.

Work Details
The Construction Contractor will construct 43 water supply systems in Rukwa and Njombe regions, drill 38 deep water wells (boreholes) in the Rukwa region, and the optional service to construct five fecal sludge treatment systems for the small towns of Ifakara (Morogoro region), Mafinga (Iringa region), Makete and Ludewa (Njombe region) and Namanyere (Rukwa region). The Contractor must be capable of assembling and mobilizing an experienced team of site managers, skilled laborers, and support personnel to procure the correct materials and deliver to the site on time; install and construct water pipe and appurtenances according to accepted workmanship practice; conduct quality control according to the approved plan; provide required equipment, tools, and materials to complete the required Technical Works correctly. The Contractor must also provide a management team to manage and coordinate each project team and site, potential subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for the completion of the required Technical Works.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is 30 months, subject to availability of funds and conclusion of successful negotiations. The activity covers the construction period of twenty-four (24) months followed by a six (6) month Defects Liability Period (DLP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in the regions of Rukwa, Njombe, Iringa, and Morogoro in Tanzania.
