Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, specifically the Baltimore District, is issuing this solicitation for a Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) focused on electrical work at the Washington Aqueduct facilities.

The Washington Aqueduct is responsible for treating water drawn from the Potomac River to provide drinking water to Washington, DC, and parts of Northern Virginia. This contract aims to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems critical to the operation of this public utility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide management, plans, supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary for design, construction, retrofitting, or replacement related to electrical work under negotiated Firm-Fixed-Price Task Orders (TOs).

The scope includes:
1) Repair and renovation of existing facilities including industrial power distribution systems and water treatment process equipment;
2) Upgrades to electrical infrastructure such as motors, variable frequency drives, circuit breakers, switchgears;
3) Installation of new generators and transformers;
4) Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations;
5) Preparation of Operations & Maintenance manuals;
6) Design services certified by a licensed Professional Engineer for design-build task orders.

Typical tasks may involve SCADA improvements, power protection system upgrades, electrical distribution service improvements, arc flash safety assessments, generator upgrades, and maintenance/replacement of industrial electrical equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a five-year ordering period during which task orders can be issued.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at the Washington Aqueduct facilities located in Washington DC.
