Description

This announcement constitutes a SOURCES SOUGHT for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award to provide and deliver Warping Electric Capstan for the USS Forrest Sherman. This sources sought notice does not constitute as a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate decision of the acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.

Background
This sources sought notice is issued by the government to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to provide and deliver a Warping Electric Capstan for the USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98). The goal of this contract is to ensure the supply and delivery of necessary equipment to support naval operations. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) and does not restrict the Government's decision on the acquisition approach.

Work Details
The contractor is required to supply and deliver the following material:

- Quantity: 1 EA
- Name of Part/Description: Warping Electric Capstan
- Drawing/Tech Manual #: S9582-A8-MMA-010 REV 2
- Part Number: LC-40S

All materials must comply with specifications referenced in item 582-11-002. The required date of delivery is January 2, 2026, or the best possible date. Delivery shall be made to DLA Distribution Norfolk RMC PROJ, Bunker Hill Towaway Bldg. X136, Norfolk, VA 23511. Shipping terms are FOB Destination, with acceptance and inspection occurring at this location.
