Description

This contract was awarded Sole Sourced 8(a) through the SBA.

A sources sought/Request for Information was posted to SAM.gov on 27 June 2023 by Marine Forces Command contracting office to garner industry interest in their requirement and determine small business capability. A total of 16 companies provided a response to the sources sought notice.

Out of the 16 responses to the RFI, 15 were deemed likely capable of meeting the requirement based on the information submitted in response to the sources sought/RFI.

Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) participants represented the largest small business category and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) represented the second largest category out of the 15 deemed likely capable.

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.8 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Subpart 219.8, MARFORCOM offered this procurement to the SBA to enter a sole source contract with an SBA approved 8(a) participant.
