Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for elevator inspections and certifications at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center (VAMC).

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of Government-Owned Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTEs) elevators through regular maintenance, inspection, and testing services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for full service maintenance, inspection, testing, and emergency services on a total of 15 elevators at the Walla Walla VAMC.

Specific tasks include:
1. Annual certification of 15 elevators.
2. Conducting 5-year load bank testing.
3. Performing annual certification retests as needed.
4. Ensuring all personnel possess necessary licenses and permits as required by local jurisdictions.
5. Attending quarterly meetings with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to discuss inspection information and deficiencies.
6. Submitting correct and verifiable invoices in accordance with outlined procedures.
7. Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, including OSHA regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base period followed by four option years, allowing for continued service over a total of five years.
